Luminizer X Quad - Highlighter Palette

one of my favorites

I love this quad. I'm super pale and even the darker one works. I just recently got a sample of peach and it creates a beautiful draping bronzy look. every one of these shades can work for anyone. only thing is it stays glossy, but not tacky. it's very juicy and editorial. beautiful products and highly recommend.

Lovely highlighter. Would re-purchase

I was looking for a pretty enough glow/highlight that had more subtle white/sheer/champagne tones and not anything blinding or overly extreme. I picked this product because it fits my above color requirements and has more than one color to play with. The upper right looks bronze, but is sheer enough to use on my light to medium skintone. It is my least used color. The lower left is the most white, the upper left is more champagne, and the bottom right is the most cool with pink undertones. I use these three the most and are beautiful alone or mixed together. It does not interfere when applied on top of my foundation. The added bonus is that this line is all natural. Cons: it does start to fade on the areas I touch up throughout the day, such as near my lips/cupid's bow and nose; and I could use a brush but find this to apply better with fingers, however, I do not like to dip my fingers into products as it's not the most sanitary. One other note, the packaging is very secure but sometimes hard to pry open. I use tweezers so as not to chip my nail polish. It's my first highlighter product and purchase, very happy with it, and would recommend.

Bought this quad super on sale from Jcrew of all places, but I thought I'd review it on here. These highlighters are delightful. So much dimension while still looking pretty natural. I do think that the price point is too high, but if you can get it on sale, it's a good product!

It's fine... but not worth the money.

It's okay, but honestly, I don't think any one skin tone could use all four shades (and get a natural look, at least. Playing around and experimenting is the fun of makeup). I have medium-tan, warm-toned skin, and I love Luminizer Nude for a fresh glossy look and Champagne Rose for a wetter, rosy highlight. But I cannot use Luminizer X or Champagne Fizz. The former is just pearly white and I can't sheer it out enough to look like a natural looking highlight. What offends me the most if Champagne fizz. It is fine, sheer rainbow shimmer that doesn't really look nautral or even good no matter how or where I apply it. Frankly, I'd reccomend finding one shade in the round pot package that you love, and save $10 bucks.

i really wanted to like this. i think it would be the perfect on the go freshen up tool. the concept is nice and the fact that there’s no harsh chemicals is even better. however, the oils in this especially coconut oil are likely to cause you to break out. i decided to try my luck with this knowing the possibility of a breakout. i currently have the most awkward pimple on my cheekbone. i’d be wary of buying this if you have reaction to coconut oil.

This is a decent quad for a subtle ‘no makeup’ makeup look, ideally for those with light skin tones or paler. Other than for cheeks/face, they can also be used on the lips (but a bit too tacky for eyes), with 3 luminizing shades, and 1 that is more like a bronze. It smells like coconut oil, but the smell goes away after a while. Because the main ingredient is coconut oil, it never sets and remains slightly tacky, and feels greasy when you touch the pan at first. If coconut oil breaks you out, I would not recommend since this primarily consists of coconut oil. Champagne Fizz (bottom left) luminizer has chunky glitter and feels a bit gritty but blends out into a sparse shimmer. Luminizer X (top left) and Champagne Rose (bottom right) are pearlescent and end up blending out to look the same, but they give a subtle glow. Champagne Rose pan is kind of soft as you can see the dents in my pan. Luminizer Nude (top right) is a bronze-y color that showed up on my light skin but sadly doesn’t appear on my light-medium skin during the hotter months. Overall, all the shades make my skin look dewy. I tap onto bare skin and blend, but it’s slightly difficult to blend because it’s thick and a tacky. It tugs on my skin a bit when I blend it out with my fingers. Not recommended for putting over foundation—I’d need to pat over foundation else blending out the coconut oil-based product will remove foundation (oil melts makeup). The shades stay on the whole day, even after running/sweating as long as I don’t touch my face. The packaging feels like sturdy plastic but there is no mirror. After noticing a layer of coconut oil coating the surface of each luminizer, I store this quad upside down so that the coconut oil doesn’t separate and float to the top (like in peanut butter). I’ve attached swatches and blended swatches.

This was my first RMS Beauty buy, and while I was really happy with the formulas, I didn't like the packaging. It began to look really messy around the edges of the tray, and I tore nails trying to open the lid. The biggest disappointment is that they don't make champagne fizz (bottom left) anywhere else but in the quad and it was my favourite. I imagine if I had kept it the lid might have begun to open easier, and the messy look wasn't bad enough to bother most, but I'd just get a single pot of living luminizer if I was going to purchase this again.

New holy grail

Absolutely adore this product! It's the perfect everyday no makeup highlight but also works on top of makeup. I can't leave the house without this quickly swiped on my cheeks, nose and inner corners anymore. It's the perfect size and the range of shades means there's something for everyone. I like to mix the two darker shades for my cheeks and nose, and the lighter shades for the center of my lid and inner corner. I think the lighter shades leave a slight white cast on me but they have other purpose so I can still use all the shades, and I will say that they don't fully set so they will come off if you touch your face throughout the day. The only thing I will say is that I wish there was a mirror which would really make it perfect to just throw into your bag. Otherwise, love love love!

not subtle not for me

not a fan of the overly sparkly one. left chuncks of sparkles all over my face. definitely returning .so sad bc i adore this company. maybe others will like more of an exaggerated highlight, but im more subdued.

A GLOWING Review

Simply amazing! I’ve been wanting to try the original Living Luminizer for a while now, but for only a bit more this quad let me try so many shades! I love them all - specifically the Luminizer X and the Champagne Rosé. Would purchase this again, but probably only the single pots of living luminizer since I use that shade the most.

Youthful and Glowing

This palette has everything you need for a beautiful glow and a natural look that's conveniently applied. It fits discreetly in a clutch for touch ups but I rarely ever need it. It feels like such a luxurious product! I love RMS Beauty!

Best for dry skin & a natural look

As I get older I am moving to more hydrating cream products, this is a great addition. I love champagne rose for my pale complexion. It looks like a dewy glow from within and doesn't accentuate the fine lines around my eyes. I'm not a fan of champagne fizz, it's a little too glittery. I will use it as an inner corner highlight sometimes. The other two shades work well as a brow bone highlight. This product is definitely not for oily skin and works best for someone who wants the no makeup makeup look. It lasts about 4 hours but reapplies well.
