Amazing when used properly

I can tell by the the negative reviews that the poor experiences are coming from people that 1) aren’t using this correctly or 2) don’t know what kind of repair their hair needs. If your hair needs hydration and doesn’t need protein, any olaplex will be bad for your hair. Adding protein to non-protein deficient hair will leave your hair dry, harden the strands, and cause breakage. If your hair does need protein, olaplex is gold standard. Tip, if olaplex dries out your hair, K18 will probably work better for you. Research the different ways in which they each heal your hair and figure out what works best for you. I have naturally dry skin and hair, and I also frequently dye and/or bleach my hair so I use both treatments on alternating weeks. (olaplex 0 & 3 one week, K18 the next week). I also do not use treatment products every single wash. Unless your hair is incredibly damaged, you shouldn’t be using this product every wash. It’s really not meant to be used more than once a week. When used properly, this is an amazing tool/step in my hair care routine.

I’ve been using this for over a year & it’s one of my favorite Olaplex products. It helps to leave my hair unbelievably soft. I absolutely love it!

Didn’t work for my hair type

I had high hopes for the Olaplex Bonding Pre-Shampoo Treatment, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. I followed the directions carefully, but it just didn’t give me the results I was looking for—my hair didn’t feel noticeably stronger or healthier afterward. I’m sure it works well for others, but I don’t think it suited my specific hair type or needs. It might be a better fit for different textures or hair conditions.

Soft And less frizz

When I use this I notice my hair is softer and smoother less frizzy. I put it in my damp dirty hair leave on for 15 mins then wash and do a hair mask Amika soul food and hair is good as new . I have fine curly bleached hair

Not worth the risk

If I could give 0 stars I would. The amount of damage I experienced from a single use of a damage repair product is crazy. I used the product as directed and after ONE use, I experienced shedding and breakage; my ends are now different lengths. For reference, I have coarse, dry, wavy/curly virgin hair that has heat damage from using hot tools.

Olaplex shampoo and conditioner

I used the shampoo and conditioner thinking it was going to be a great product but I started getting pimples that hurt. Now I'm starting to have hair loss. I have never in my life had hair loss problems. I read some reviews about this product and I see others have complained about it as well. I pray my hair grows back and doesn't keep thinning because my hair is long and it was always full. It's scares me. I'm unsure what I will do if it keeps thinning.

Leave it in longer!

I find you have to leave it on longer for better effect. I use it every few weeks and have noticed the fuzzys are well controlled

not the same

when this first came out it was great( if you used it correctly ) now it has changed..it smells horrible and is no where near the results you used to get. will look for something else.as usual in beauty a great thing is always altered

It has lilial in it which is a banned substance in the Uk - I took a risk. I already had breakage from over coloring my hair. I was using natural oils for two months and it helped. I wanted to speed up the process so I bought olaplex no.3. I read the good reviews and the bad reviews. I figured since I have already damaged hair it would work. First use it did work, but I noticed breakage immediately. Returned it. Now on day six and my hair is still weird. It’s soft and shiny But breakage at the same time. I have really dried, ends and my roots are soft and oily for some reason.I think it’s because of the water-based alcohol they load it with. And also the ingredient Lilial that is banned in the UK, could be causing issues as well. My hair is soft and shiny, but it’s lifeless and still breaking. I’m hoping it wears off in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I’m going back to natural oils and alcohol-fee shampoo and conditioners. I should’ve known any type of alcohol is just bad in general. Regret using olaplex. My hair texture went from thick to soft and limp - hoping it wears off. And I have read ppl have come back from it. You just have to do a lot of steps and baby your hair

read the instructions carefully & use once a week

I’ve been using this product for about 3 months and only use it once a week. The instructions are confusing because it says use it on damp hair and I see on their website they state you have to wash your hair first, then use it. This stuff is expensive and I want to use it correctly to get all the benefits so I wash my hair first, then use it which can be annoying to do but I do see a difference in my hair - it’s softer and sleek and doesn’t feel dry!

Top 1 product for my bleached hair. i am using it before washing my hair. Using it on my ends for 10 to 20 mins, my ends are healthy, my hair is growing and it is not dry! Love it!

Brought my hair back from the dead

I am very picky with hair products and was expecting to hate this, but after frying my hair with bleach and then finishing it off by abusing a protein/collagen mask and it was looking like the end of some fibre optic cables, I was desperate. I’d never had so much breakage and volume loss, and it was like my hair stands grew tiny hands and would grab on to my wet hair brush and rip out of my head. This mask helped bring it back to life, along with the no.8, no.7, & no.5L, I’ve repeat purchased them all and I’ll do it again.
