Brilliant When Applied Properly

This is a genius product, but it must be applied over a moisturiser (even on oily skin) or it doesn't really 'spread' and can look patchy. I'm a pale freckly redhead, so I wanted to try this before committing to buying it, so I went to my local Clinique counter. OMG, it's fabulous! Applying just a small pea-sized amount made me look healthy rather than bronzed. I first spread it over my fingers then applied it to my face and it just glided on. (You should never apply any product directly to your face, especially make up, despite all those social influencers who claim to be 'experts', yet obviously aren't!) If I want to look a little more bronzed, I apply the Tinted Gelee to my cheeks, forehead and a little on the bridge of my nose and it still doesn't feel or really look like I have anything on my skin, but I look so much better than pale original me! As I said at the start of my review, used correctly, this product is genius, please never discountinue it!

Disappointing

This product does not moisturise my skin and I got a very bad reaction in my face after using it.

Loved itÖfor the first ten minutes

I was really excited to try this, and was pleased with the results for about ten minutes when I suffered an extreme allergic reaction and had to remove it. I have sensitive skin and have used Clinique for years and not had any problems so it's a real shame. Hoping that it is something specific to this product and doesn't mean I'm going to be allergic to all Clinique products! I liked the idea and it seems like a good product - just be cautious if you are prone to reactions.

It's nice but doesn't stay

There are many aspects of this product I actually really like: provides a nice shine, natural colour and is hydrating however it doesn't stay in place for me. I've been put off using it as it ends up looking patchy which is a real shame.

Perfect

Please don't ever change or discontinue this! It's perfect as it is, very light coverage and evens out my skin very nicely. If you have dehydrated skin, then I would advise to use your regular moisturiser before applying this. I tried it without and it didn't look good, but once I applied it after moisturising it was perfect. It just helps it go on more evenly and smoother. Lasts well as you only need a pea-sized amount.

Absolutely love this!

Love the way it evens out my skin, and have been buying it with the pump and the serum insert for a few years now. I'm just so disappointed that this doesn't come in the pump anymore. Even the directions refer to a 'pump' of gel, so where did the pump go?!! Sadness.

Have lots of compliments about my skin since using it.

Was a bit scared by the colour at first! But I love it! Gives a light coverage and lovely dewy complexion, I'd definitely recommend.. in fact I have! Only wish it had SPF.. I've tried the moisture surge but I don't like it as much.

I really like this !

I use this after my normal skincare / moisturiser in the morning and follow with the glossier stretch concealer. This product doesn't really give coverage but really evens my skin tone out / makes texture look more even and skin overall glowy!! I'm 24 and my skin is typically quite dry and I find this product pretty hydrating. I have an lightish olive-y undertone to my skin and the colour works well for me :) Woukd defo recommend - I think some people in the reviews finding it orange are maybe using too much..? A little bit goes a long way for me so I use a little over a pea sized amount for my face and it's perfect :) In my opinion, if you're not vv pale or looking for coverage this product is defo worth the purchase for sure !! X

Love this!

Honestly this is a product I cannot live without. I am very fair skinned and not only does this hydrate my skin it leaves me with a lovely bronzer glow all day. Took some getting used to but this is my everyday life saver also reduced my need to wear foundation.

Can't see any difference to my skin

Very disappointed with this. I can't seem to see any difference to my skin unfortunately. I love Clinique products normally. What a shame.

Pure brilliance!

I am just starting to use Clinique after years using another product - my menopausal skin decided it needed a change and as my Grandma always used Clinque I went to see the Consultant and here we are. This is one of the first purchases I have made and I am so happy with the results. Just to give background, I have a medium skin tone with some reddening over my cheeks but I am lucky that my skin is clear so usually I wear no coverage apart from moisturiser. Since getting this last week I've put some on daily after my moisturiser and it sits beautifully and doesn't slide around as some BB or foundation creams can do. It is terrifying as you rub grey into your skin but it blends beautifully until you can't see it - but you really know its there as you glow and it evens everything out. No more pink cheeks. It is a very light cover which is what I want - however, if you did prefer more coverage then I think it would be too light. However, it enhances but it doesn't hide. That said, if you needed a little extra anywhere concealer would easily cover and you still get a lovely light glow. I've tried BB creams in the past and getting the right tone was nearly impossible as most were either too yellow for my skin tone or very orange. Many have been tried, many have been rejected. This though, its lovely as it doesn't leave your skin greasy so you don't need powder. Equally, I can put on in a morning and it will stay in place without slipping all day with no need for a top up! I love it and have great confidence that when this tube finishes this will be my go to and I will keep stocked up.
