The Retinol Serum

An essential requirement

I employed a modest sample obtained through my rewards points. I am a staunch advocate of Dermalogica's professional retinol, but this product represents a paradigm shift. After just a few applications, my skin feels remarkably hydrated and radiant. I wholeheartedly endorse it.

Luxurious retinol

As an experienced retinol user I found this Augustinus Bader retinol a pleasure to use. It’s a little more hydrating than other retinols on the market yet the texture is thin but not greasy. I think it will suit a variety of skin types including sensitive. I was able to use this product every day with no irritation. After only a couple of weeks of use my skin was clearer and brighter. My only concern was the fussy packaging. But overall, this is a great retinol.

Not sure why, recently my skin was very dry, even with La mer concentrate and oil. I added different products to La mer concentrate, nothing worked. This one did after I used it just once!! all kinds of combinations of other products of all kinds of different products, in addition to Leur the concentrate in the oil.

Worth the money

I’ve been using this product for about a month. I’m not new to retinal and I’ve used tretinoin before, but this really made a difference on my skin. It just made my skin smoother and even though this product is at a high price point a little goes a long way a pump, a pump and a half is more than enough to cover your whole face, but I understand the price may not be for everybody. Sometimes I feel that we have to splurge on ourselves, and this is definitely a splurge from the packaging,from the stand that it comes with. This brand is luxury.  

Overall a good product!

This product absorbs very nicely and is more gentle than other retinols I have used. The packaging is nice and convenient and comes with a little stand which I love. The only thing I don’t like is the smell but it goes away and the product seems to work so it’s not a deal breaker.

Amazing Product!

I’ve recently received the Augustinus Bader’s Retinol Serum from Influenster and this is the first time I have tried a luxury skincare item. The packaging is very luxurious with rose gold packaging, the color scheme is amazing and gives you the whole experience. Retinol to my knowledge is supposed to seek effective anti-aging results with a more youthful complexion. I’ve used this product over the past few weeks and noticed that there is no overwhelming fragrance that can potentially irritate my skin and the serum has a lightweight consistency which absorbs pretty quickly which helps with my Korean skincare routine where I layer many products. I’ve noticed that my texture has definitely improved especially some dark spots I have on my cheeks from past acne. Overall, I want to continue using this and totally recommend!

I am truly amazed at how well the retinol serum has worked on my neck and face the last 6 weeks! Immediately from opening the package I realized that tucked under the bottle was the cutest gold heavy stand for the product to be a display in my bathroom! It feels luxury from the moment you take it out of the box. The texture is a milky serum like I showed in my photo with a yellow hue. The smell does not seem to have any fragrance added and just has the natural smell of the ingredients. It does not bother me at all and fades as the product melts into your skin. I have been following the directions each night by applying in sweeping upward motions from my neck to my forehead. The serum absorbs quickly and clearly. I have not experienced any break out or skin irritation despite me having extremely sensitive skin. My deep neck lines are visibly less deep, fine lines are diminishing and overall anywhere this product has been absorbed is softer than it was prior to using the serum. This will be a staple in my routine forever! Absolutely recommend!!

New fave!!

I’ve never tried a retinol you can use in the day time and then night time! This one is amazing! I’ve only used it for 5 days but I feel a difference in my skin already with no irritation! My skin feels more even (less textured) and it’s supple! No more dry patches or flaky skin! Loooove this!

So great!

This product is so advanced and elegant! The packaging feels extremely high end and sturdy. Inside the serum is hydrating yet fast absorbing and I noticed a slight improvement in my skin texture pretty quickly. I also love that it’s unscented and doesn’t irritate my skin!

Great Packaging

This is such a nice packaging and comes with a holder. Love the presentation. This retinol serum can be used both day or night. This is very effective and absorbs nicely on the skin.
