No.5 Fine Bond Maintenance® - Balsam

I got this as part of a promotion for my honest review. First off, I am certainly the perfect candidate for this as my hair is most certainly fine and in. Between post partum and then losing weight, losing hair seems to be the norm for me. Recently, it feels like my hair is even thinner than it has been which is very sad so when I got the chance to try this, naturally I jumped for joy at the opportunity. I will start by sharing I think it is too soon to really notice a difference. What I do notice is my hair feels incredibly soft the following day but the added volume has not yet come but it has only been about a month and bond shampoos and considers shouldn’t be used everyday. I will of course continue to test it out and I’m hoping I show what the clinical have shown. If nothing else, I have nice soft hair that appears to be breaking less so I will take it!

Not great

I was really looking forward to trying the Olaplex No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner because my hair tends to be on the dry side and I thought the added moisture would help. The texture is rich and creamy, and it definitely feels like it coats and protects each strand. While it did give my hair some softness and helped with dryness, it also felt a little too heavy for my fine hair. Instead of leaving me with silky movement and volume, my roots went flat and my hair looked weighed down more quickly than I’d like. For someone with thick, coarse, or very damaged hair, this level of hydration would probably be amazing, but for fine hair that still needs moisture, it felt a little over the top. I received this product as part of a promotion.

Volume galore!

I had the opportunity to try the Olaplex No.5 conditioner for fine hair and I can absolutely see a difference in the volume of my hair. I have dense fine hair and struggle with obtaining volume in my hair. I noticed after trying this my bun appeared fuller and my hair stronger. I would absolutely recommend!

Perfect weight!

The packaging is the usual recognizable, subtle yet boldly designed Olaplex conditioner for fine hair left. The fragrance is light and bright. I left the conditioner on my mid strands for approximately 4 minutes. I rinsed my hair with cold water. Before I even used a leave in conditioner, I could feel the slip in my hair. The comb slid through my hair effortlessly. My hair is now nourished and has more volume than before. I will definitely be a devoted consumer of this brand.

Great for thin hair

The No.5 FINE Bond Maintenance Conditioner has been a perfect follow-up to the No.4 Shampoo. The texture is silky and spreads really easily through my hair, so I don’t need much. It detangles right away and makes my hair soft and smooth without weighing it down — which is huge for me since my hair is fine and conditioners usually feel heavy. After rinsing, my hair looks shiny, feels nourished, and air dries with less frizz. When I blow it out, it’s a lot easier to style and has more bounce. Using the shampoo and conditioner together definitely makes my hair feel healthier overall. This product was received as part of an educational promotion.

best conditioner

i received this conditioner about a week ago and i have been using it consistently and i have seen and felt some big improvements !!! i really love how soft and healthy it makes my hair feel! I instantly feel how soft and hydrating the conditioner is as i apply it to my hair. i love the scent that it leaves bc it doesn’t feel too heavy and it’s a nice soft scent . since it’s the last step in washing my hair i look for a natural smelling conditioner that is not overpowering or artificial. so this provides just that and i love it!! after using the conditioner i have not that it has strengthened my hair and made it healthier by proving shine and volume!! as for the volume again it provided me with a lot volume something which i see rarely because i do have thin hair that is dry and frizzy! i feel like this shampoo helped me with a lot of my hair concerns and gave me back some confidence!! Does not weigh down my hair at all!

I typically avoid conditioner products which isn’t great for my hair. This is because my hair is so fine and has an oily disposition, so conditioner typically weighs down my hair and makes it look oily or dirty much faster. Due to this, my hair tends to have a lot of breakage. After a week of use of Opalex No4 Bond Maintenance Volumizing and Strengthening Hair Conditioner, I can say that this product has been a great fit. The conditioner does not weigh down my hair in any way. When used in conjunction with Opalex No4 Bond Maintenance Volumizing and Strengthening Hair Shampoo, my hair looks and feels cleaner than ever before. I finally feel like my hair can start healing now that I’ve found a conditioner that I can use. My hair is getting its shine back, and I believe my hair will continue to experience less damage with time as I continue to use this product. In comparison to other bond-style conditioners I have tried, this has been, by far, the best one I’ve ever tried. My hair is not at all weighed down by the day's end, nor is it the next morning. great product

This conditioner helped to repair my slightly damaged hair which is very dry and frizzy. The product is very thick and the texture is just wow. It makes my hair really soft. Just like the shampoo, this product has a very amazing smell. Thank you beautytap tap and olapolex! Love this

Does exactly what it says

The photos are right before washing and then after my hair fully air dried with ZERO other products. That is an amazing result for my fine, thin, wavy/curly hair that's prone to split ends. If I had diffused I would've had GREAT volume but, I wanted to showcase the ability of the product. I washed with olaplex no.4 bonding shampoo then combed this conditioner through my hair and let it sit on for 3 minutes before thoroughly rinsing. It rinses clean & my scalp still feels squeaky clean. I can't wait to use this in conjunction with the no.6 bond smoother & see even better results! The fragrance is the signature fragrance of all olaplex products so, it smells fantastic. It's a rich & thick conditioner that feels more like a mask. I will continue to reach for this one based purely on the results I've gotten from 2 washes. It would be an excellent conditioner for people who color treat or bleach their hair, or for split ends and other damage. I think results would be even better if you use the shampoo/conditioner duo. Lightweight Moisture Without the Weight

The Olaplex N°.5FINE BOND MAINTENANCE® Conditioner is a really nice companion to the shampoo. It’s lightweight yet nourishing, which is hard to find for fine hair. It smooths without leaving my hair flat or greasy, and it detangles easily—my hair feels softer and has more shine after rinsing. I appreciate that it doesn’t feel heavy, but at the same time, it’s not the most deeply hydrating conditioner out there. If your hair is super dry or damaged, you might need a mask on top of this. Like the shampoo, a little goes a long way, and the scent is subtle and salon-like. Bottom line: A solid choice if you have fine or fragile hair and want smoothness and strength without losing volume. It’s pricey, but if you’re already using Olaplex, this one’s worth adding to the routine.

One of the best in the market

I've used the Nº.5FINE Bond Maintenance Conditioner for a week now in conjunction with the matching shampoo and already it has made a difference in how my hair feels and looks. I have fine hair, so I'm always a bit wary of conditioners since most weigh my hair down or make it appear greasy within a day. This is different as it is so light but still gives me the moisture that I need. It feels like it gets absorbed into my hair instead of coating the surface. From the very first wash, I could feel how smooth and detangled my hair was as soon as I rinsed it out. I normally have to struggle with knots after I wash my hair, but with this conditioner my brush just glides through. It also makes styling really easy and even when I let my hair air dry, it still feels soft and manageable instead of limp. I love that it keeps my hair feeling hydrated and moisturized without losing any volume, which has always been my biggest issue with conditioners. After using it for a week regularly, I can also start to see my hair looking healthier. I've noticed that I have less breakage when brushing my hair and less tiny flyaway hairs sticking out, making my hair look sleeker overall. My ends aren't as dry and my hair has some strength to it, almost like it's developed some sort of resistance to daily heat styling. It with the shampoo has really brought out the best results as together they keep my hair light, fresh, and bouncy, but still give it the care that it needs. I also like the fact that it does not leave any heavy residue behind. There are conditioners that make my hair feel like there is still something coating it, but this one rinses clean and just leaves it silky. The volume actually lasts all day long instead of collapsing a few hours after I've styled my hair. For a fine-haired person, that makes all the difference since it means I don't have to choose between soft, moisturized hair and body and bounce. Overall, this conditioner has been a great addition to my regimen. It gives me the moisture, smoothness, and strength I want without ever weighing my hair down or making it greasy. My hair feels light, healthy, and easier to manage, and it's like it's improving week by week. If you have fine hair and you're in the market for a conditioner that will give you moisture without compromising volume, I think this one is definitely worth trying. One of my favs

I’ve used Olaplex No.5 FINE Bond Maintenance Conditioner together with the Olaplex No.4 FINE Bond Maintenance Shampoo. The conditioner has pretty thick texture, easily spread on hair. I’d say I needed average amount of the conditioner based on the length of my hair. The conditioner did nourish my hair, it felt like I’m having my frizz get down, and I’ve got this favorite feeling of slightly sleekly hair ( when wet) but sleekly enough to keep the volume of my hairstyle. After using the conditioner I had no problem brushing my hair (nor styling). It all felt very well, the hair had some body , shine, volume and good healthy look. I also like the light smell conditioner has. Overall I’ve got a good impression and it would be of of my favorites for my hair type. I’ve got fine long natural hair.
