My New Favorite Shampoo

I love this stuff SO MUCH! A little goes a long way and my scalp and hair feel so clean and happy. I also notice the volume in my hair is significantly better. The scent is very nice and classic clean.

Dry greasy mess

I have used and enjoyed the original olaplex shampoo/conditioners, except that I felt it was slightly too heavy for my fine hair. So I was very excited to see they came out with a line for fine hair! That excitement didn’t last long, this is absolutely the worst shampoo/conditioner I have ever used. Somehow left my hair with a disgusting heavy greasy residue, while also leaving it the driest it’s ever felt. I could barely brush out my hair and it would tangle back up literally immediately after brushing. Not sure how this passed any type of quality testing as I have a hard time believing anyone with actually fine hair could use this.

Hydrating

This shampoo offers great hair support if you have fully fine hair or even fine patches. My hair leans towards the thicker side but still it helped in areas where my hair is a little fine. It improved the texture and feeling of it by helping the flatness that I was experiencing. It does have a very light lather to it that provides the hair with hydration without weight it down or leaving a film on it. Overtime it has reduced the amount of breakage I’ve seen in my hair and overall has helped with making styles last longer between the next wash. I’ve not kicked that it reduced the amount of frizz I have and left my hair feeling and looking much better compared to before the use. Thanks to the OLAPLEX No.4 Bond Maintenance the condition of my hair has looked better than ever before.

Healthy Shine and Bounce in Every Wash!

I’ve been using the Olaplex No.4 FINE Bond Maintenance Shampoo and I can honestly say it has made a big difference in my hair. I have long, naturally wavy hair that tends to feel heavy at the roots but dry toward the ends. The texture is lightweight and silky, and it lathers up beautifully without needing a ton of product. After rinsing, my hair feels clean but not stripped—just refreshed and soft. I’ve noticed my waves look more defined and my hair feels stronger. It also gives my hair a natural shine and bounce, which I love. The scent is subtle and fresh, not overpowering, which makes the whole experience even better. If you have fine to medium hair and want something that strengthens without taking away volume or softness, this shampoo is definitely worth trying. It’s become a staple in my routine, and I can already tell my hair is healthier with each wash.

Great for textured hair!

For context, I have wavy textured hair that get's pretty frizzy and limp throughout the day. This shampoo gave me noticeable volume without drying my hair or making it feel brittle. I love how lightweight it is and the texture lathers up nicely with just a nickel size amount. I love the results it's given my hair so far.

I have very fine curly hair, so I was excited to try this version of the Olaplex shampoo—and I’m already impressed! After just one week, my hair feels noticeably fuller and way more hydrated. It leaves my hair feeling super clean and soft without weighing it down, which is so important for my hair type. My curls have been looking more defined and healthy too. Definitely a new staple for me.

Good option for volume

I bought this shampoo and the matching conditioner with my own money, was NOT gifted. For reference, I have fine, darkened color treated hair but a lot of it. My goals are scalp/roots oil control, volume, and protect from color fading. This shampoo was just ok. I will say my hair is relatively healthy so I wasn’t looking for anything to dramatically transform my hair. It is thick and difficult to spread around on the scalp and I probably overused the product in order for it to emulsify. I felt it left my scalp not completely clean yet kind of overdried my lengths/ends. I would have to definitely use a clarifying shampoo first if my hair was extremely greasy. That being said, it didn’t fade my color and the volume it gives is 10/10! My hair is bouncy and feel light and not weighed down. I do notice a little static/dryness but most volume aimed products will do that to help achieve that weightless feel. Overall I will finish my bottle with the conditioner but keep looking for my HG combo. If I ever decide to lighten/highlight my hair in the future, I would repurchase. Will also add the original olaplex no4/5 were always too heavy for my hair but I do love the no 8 hair mask.

Wanted to love but

This shampoo left my hair feeling extremely dried out. It was difficult to get a brush or comb through it, it felt stiff and snarled. After blow drying, my hair feels dry and looks frizzy. I have fine thin blonde hair. I did notice a little more volume but dryness and frizziness make it not worth it. I’m really not sure how this is getting such good reviews. I’ll go back to the regular 4 and 5 olaplex. I will be returning this.

I have been using this product for 7 days, and my hair feels rejuvenated, the shine and texture have never been this good. I loved how it lathered up in the shower, a little goes a long way. My hair and scalp feel hydrated and soft. This is a must in my hair routine, I highly recommend using this if your hair and scalp need some love.

I used it almost daily for an entire week, and my curls remained soft, bouncy, and well-defined without any signs of dryness or buildup. What stood out most was how light and voluminous my hair felt after each wash. Despite my hair being fine and prone to flatness, this shampoo gave me body and lift without sacrificing moisture.
