Decent sponge!

The Sephora collection tap that puff complexion cushion sponge says it’s made from a dense low absorption foam to give medium to full coverage. It can be used with all types of makeup formulas, and can also be used wet or dry.  I do like the size and shape. I like that it has a loop to secure it on your finger. It’s very easy to hold.  I also like the way it applies liquid foundation, but I do feel like it absorbed more than my other sponge I was using.  It has the texture of one of those sponges that comes with the Korean foundation. I think I may like it more for doing powders (foundation/highlighter) and some cream items. Overall, it’s a good sponge and it has a good price point so I definitely can see myself buying another one in the future or maybe the mini version.

I’m really impressed with it. The texture is super plush and bouncy, and it makes blending foundation and concealer so easy. It feels soft on the skin but still dense enough that it doesn’t just soak up all the product, so you get a nice, even application without wasting makeup. I’m really into Korean cushion foundations right now, and I love that this puff lets me turn my favorite liquid foundation into a cushion-style application. The finish it gives is natural with a soft satin look—polished but still skin-like, which I love for everyday wear. The only downside for me is that the shape is a bit bulky, so it’s tricky to get into smaller areas of my face like around my nose or under my eyes. Still, for all-over application, it’s been a great tool to have in my kit, and it’s something I reach for often. I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

Wow!

The Tap that Puff sponge is a game changer for me!! It is able to blend foundation and concealer of all consistencies (liquidy ones and thicker ones) with a lot of ease, and I enjoy the fact that it can turn any foundation into an asian cushion foundation type of experience without much effort. The sponge helps keep my foundation fuller coverage due to the minimal absorption of the sponge, but it offers a seamless blend that helps avoid cakeyness and build up of product. It is also very easy to learn how to use, making it very intuitive in terms of application even if you've never tried cushion foundation before. I would personally avoid using powder with this kind of product, but that's only dependent on personal preference! I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

Perfect for touch ups throughout the day!

This is the perfect on the go sponge for touching up concealer as well as applying powder. I’m a super oily girl so it’s great to have an all in one sponge that can allow me to apply more concealer as well as blot and apply translucent powder for when I’m looking oily in my t zone.

The sponge of today!

I've never been too fond of sponges in the past and have usually stuck to using brushes for my foundation. This sponge was very intriguing so I just gave it a try. I'm usually a more light to natural finish makeup wearer so I applied the liquid first to my face and then tapped it with this sponge. I absolutely fell hard for the sponge after my first use! The texture and squishiness of the sponge is one thing but the coverage and how easily the sponge spreads the foundation around to all the places on your face that it needs to go, as a whole thing all to itself and I love it! I was able to apply my liquid foundation evenly all over my face and I didn't see any areas where there was less foundation or that it looked too caked on. This little squishy sponge also won't hold tons of your foundation or product in it. And it's so so easy to clean! I'm going to be getting one for my daughter soon as I can because she's already tried taking this one from me. This review has been collected as part of a promotion.

Just an ok sponge for me

For me I wasn’t super impressed with this makeup sponge. It seemed to be too wide and bulky for my makeup application and it didn’t impress me too much, I like that it has a strap on the back of the sponge for your fingers so that you can grip onto it better. I found myself using this more to reduce excess shine and oil once I had my liquid foundation already applied. It did a good job at removing excess product and really getting my foundation to not look cakey. I could also see how this product would be beneficial for someone doing makeup on someone else so that the hand doesn’t rest on the skin when applying eye makeup etc. For me it just didn’t really hit the mark or meet my expectations of what I would ultimately look for in a nice makeup sponge.

Blends creams and liquids seamlessly!

I’ve been using the Sephora Collection Tap That Puff Cushion Sponge with my everyday natural makeup, and I really like how soft and plush it feels. It blends my liquid foundation and concealer really smoothly without soaking up too much product, and it gives my skin a nice, even finish. It’s super comfortable to use and feels gentle, especially around the eyes. I will say, it’s not the most versatile sponge out there. Compared to the Real Techniques Miracle 2-in-1 Powder Puff, which has a silicone side for liquids and a puff side for powder, this one is more limited. But if you mostly use liquids like I do, it’s a solid choice that works really well.

Love the Control and Finish!

The Tap That Puff blends my foundation so well whether I’m using liquid, cream, or even powder. The finish looks smooth and natural, almost like an airbrush effect. One thing I really like is the little loop on the back. It makes it easier to hold. The pointed tip is perfect for getting around my nose and under my eyes, and the round side covers my cheeks and forehead quickly. I’ve tried it both dry and slightly damp with setting spray, and it works great either way. Also, it doesn’t soak up a ton of product like some other sponges do. Cleaning it is also pretty easy. I just wash it with soap and water and let it dry overnight. Overall, this is a great little sponge that’s affordable and does the job really well. I’d definitely recommend it! Gives Nice Even Finish

This little sponge is great! The cushion is very soft and smooth on the skin and gives a nice, even finish when applying powder or touching up throughout the day. It’s especially nice for setting under the eyes or around the nose. It has a loop on the back and fits comfortably on your fingers. The material feels nice and it holds up well after cleaning. It works great for both powders and liquids and doesn’t absorb too much product. I keep it in my bag and use throughout the day to control shine or for quick foundation touch ups. A great tool for your bag

I don't apply make up every day. But when I do, I want my face to look flawless. The tap that puff is a super soft pillowy sponge that is great for applying a full face of foundation. The sponge is so so cushy and feels when applying to the skin. While it’s lower absorption than most sponges, it still does absorb some foundation. It's fairly easy to wash out but it does take a few rounds if some got all the way to the inside of the sponge. I really like the little strap/loop on the back. It makes it super easy to hold while applying makeup. I did find i needed to put 2 fingers under the loop to have more control over the sponge. But it’s not uncomfortable given the surface area coverage. It really allows me to apply makeup to a good amount of my face with one pat.

As a beauty enthusiast in my thirties who wears makeup daily, Sephora’s tap that puff makeup sponge is something I use every day! I love how versatile it is, allowing you to use liquid, cream or powder products with it. I personally use it for my loose setting powder at the end of my makeup routine and it truly gives that flawless airbrush finish. Compared to my other applicator I used to use that was a powder puff, I can tell the tap that puff does not absorb as much makeup which is always a plus! The tap that puff provides medium to full coverage so it is perfect for every day use. I love how easy it is to clean as well. Most powder puffs you have to throw away and get a new one. The tap that puff can easily be cleaned with soapy water just as beauty sponge can be cleaned!
