Unpopular Opinion* - Why did you do this, Merit??? Old formula - Stunning non drying matte finish, beautiful texture, color payoff and longevity. New Formula - weaker version of the OG matte...not worth the $$$$ Tried to love it but ended up hating it. Sad that I will be finishing the last one in my stash.

Smooth

The goes on very smoothly and the colour is buildable. It does have a smooth texture in the lips like a balm.

An easy pass-run away

The colour bullet keeps breaking. I am in my 4th. If I could buy zero O would have. My advice is do not buy this. It’s junk.

Broke after one use

The bullet broke after first use. Not impressed with this formula either. It feels like a layer is sitting on top of your lips and doesn’t blend into the lips. Wouldn’t recommend. It’s not earth shattering.

Great colour and texture; uneven wear

Pros: I'm always looking for a really wearable, no-fuss red, and this is it - love the colour and texture, very easy to apply and wear, works great as a lip colour and blush for a one-and-done look. Cons: Tends to wear off unevenly, leaving a ring around the mouth. Using a primer like Mac Prep + Prime resolved that problem for me. Unfortunately the lipstick also snapped off at the base after several weeks of careful use. I'd buy it again but it's definitely a bit fussier to deal with than it should be.

Love it - really matte

Beautiful colour, real matte and soft texture. I tap it on my lips for a bitten, stain-type look or swipe on for a full-on look. Would buy again.

Bit drying for me and hate the packaging.

Bought this after hearing sali hughes rave about it. I bought archival. Positives: Lovely colour, like your lips but better. Not too pigmented but that suits me as I'm not a lipstick girl, it's just enough for me. Feels nice and balmy on the lips. Matt finish and fllls in lines so lips look fuller. Negatives: packaging, too big and feels and looks cheap to me - especially after its been at the bottom of my bag, also the bullet broke off from the bottom after a week! Despite it feeling balmy on the lips, it does dry mh lips out a bit, I need to wear lip balm within 24hrs of wearing it. (Not half as bad as the armani liquid lip maestro though!!!) Hope that helps.

Broke off first use, way too soft & blotchy.

This was extremely disappointing. First time out of the package using the tip broke off. The lipstick is so soft, and goes on blotchy. It does not last more than half hour.

Leas Drying of all Lip Blushes

The color is gorgeous, and the formula is not drying at all. Compared to Refy and Bisou Balm, Merit's Lip Blush is the least drying and most pigmented. Just perfect.
