I tried the No.4 Fine Bond Maintenance™ Volumizing and Strengthening Hair Shampoo on my Afro kinky curly hair , and while it cleans well , it felt a bit too drying for my texture . My scalp felt fresh , but my curls lost some softness and moisture after rinsing. I do like that it made my hair feel light and had a pastoral scent, but it just didn’t give me the level of hydration my curls need . It might work better for better or less textured hair types.

Dandruff and dry hair :(

I wanted to try out this shampoo, but i’ve figured out that it’s just not for me. I have curly hair (3C) and this shampoo just leaves my hair feeling dry and it’s also made my scalp start to develop dandruff.

This shampoo formula is amazing. It’s ultralight has a serum like texture that is weightless and very hydrating for the hair. It only takes a pee size now and not only does it hydrate but it nourishes the hair. This product will also detangler the hair and helped you build lasting volume body and bounce. I use this product in the morning after Moisturizing my body then I shampoo my hair using this shampoo is the best for fine hair. It has been proven to strengthen and repair the hair and prevent future damage from styling and salon services. It leaves the hair feeling soft and smooth and strong without weighing the hair down and the volume last all day the ingredients are minimal and good they are great for thin hair. Olaplex has made a shampoo that cleans hair without stripping. This is exciting for someone with fine, dry, damaged hair. The scent is very pleasing and complements all genders. It is noticeable without being overwhelming. My daughters mentioned how nice my hair smelled. The shampoo does indeed lather. I prefer a lather as a guide. I would consider a medium lather. Distributing through hair and scalp is quite easy and doesn’t take a lot of product. A quarter size worked well for my medium/long hair. My oldest daughter has difficulty with tangles related to dry ends. We typically take up to an hour brushing her hair out, but Olaplex made the job much easier! We were done on about ten minutes. Overall, I would recommend this product and feel confident it would be a great addition to anyone’s shower routine. Product was received for honest review.

My new go to

I tried this shampoo and conditioner, set and exchange for my honest review and I was pleasantly surprised at how soft it made my hair. My hair feels a lot more manageable, it’s very soft and what I really liked about the product is that it smells very nice, like orange blossoms. The shampoo is quite thick and it is easy to lather. Today I woke up and my hair was very soft and beautiful whereas it’s usually very dry and difficult to manage

It leaves my hair feeling genuinely clean and refreshed. I see a noticeable difference in volume and lift, especially at the roots. My hair has more bounce and body, and it feels fuller. It has a natural-looking, soft fullness that allows my straight hair to move with more life and flow. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in breakage and split ends. My hair feels stronger and more resilient, and it has a healthy shine that was previously hard to achieve without weighing it down with heavy conditioning products. It has become my new holy grail shampoo.

A good shampoo for medium hair too!

I received the Olaplex No. 4 and No. 5 Fine Hair Shampoo and Conditioner Duo in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. As someone with medium to thickish hair, you’d think I wouldn’t want to use this product. With this being said, it’s a great lineup to use for my in between washes. I do take part in everything showers, so this duo is not included in that activity. There is a subtle scent which I don’t mind, but don’t prefer. My hair feels relatively soft and repaired but nothing to write home about. One thing about olaplex is they are pretty expensive, but a little goes a long way so it is worth the price. I was very surprised that a product aimed at fine hair would have such a good result on thicker hair! Overall I would absolutely recommend this hair care duo.
