Kinda hot

Received sample courtesy of Influenster. I am not a huge fan of masculine fragrances, but this is hot. A lot of colognes as of late are the same; vaguely woody, vaguely gourmand, something fresh about it, and it all gets pretty boring. Le Beau isn’t exactly revolutionary, following pretty much the same blueprint, but I think it is done VERY well. It is nicely balanced, not too strong, a fresh opening, and a sweet but subdued drydown. I really enjoy the tonka bean base, but it’s brighter than comparable fragrances that end up being really cloying and heavy. Would I buy it, probably not, it just isn’t the type of fragrance I reach for, but I certainly enjoy it! I want a boyfriend who smells like this, I think that says enough.
