It truly does work. I love it b/c it dries and I immediately apply my make-up. Save the traditional lotions for your evening routine.

It's an essence, so I apply a little to my hands, then press/pat it into the skin. The scent is refreshing and dissipates so it's not distracting. I'd definitely get this again - the price point is perfect in comparison to other essences on the market and this one delivers for my skin (47 y/o, dry skin type).

It's now a part of my skin care regimen as I use it first by applying it with a cotton ball on my face before a moisturizer. It wakes my skin up and acts as a good skin prepper. Call it whatever you want it's a very good product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by s from For those confused by the title "Lotion" I see a lot of confusion over this being called a "lotion" and people expect it to be like a moisturizer, but it's common for K/J-beauty to call their toners "lotion"! this toner is a great addition to a skincare routine for anyone who needs an extra layer of hydration right after cleansing, or anywhere up to applying moisturizer/sunscreen.

I had the same skincare routine for years, using botanical kinetics for sensitive skin. I still dealt with regular pimples, even in my 30s and into my 40s. When I ran out of toner about a year ago I decided to try this hydrating treatment lotion in its place. Wow! What a difference. I VERY rarely get pimples anymore and my skin doesn't feel dried out after I use it. Just perfectly hydrated. The only issue is that it works best as a spray. So, I just switched out the cap for the spray top on my empty toner bottle and ran some water through to clear out the remaining toner. Definitely worth the workaround. Highly recommend!

My skin loves the Caribbean, and the American south-hot, humid, moist-if your skin loves that climate but you live in California (dry climate) ...it's a problem. This product is like a humidifier. It traps the moisture and keeps my skin buttery, tight, and with a little shine from the algae. Seriously. Natural beauty
