I've been using the sephora blur it powder for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. Most purple powders I've tried make you look like a clown with purple blotches. This powder blends well. It truly brightens especially on my under eyes. It blurs most to all imperfections. It literally last the entire day and sets the make up so well. I'm truly impressed at how well it works and how good it it finishes off the make up. I recieved this product complimentary from the beauty tap community in exchange for my honest opinion.

Okay but this Sephora Blur Loose Powder in Brightening Lilac?? Obsessed. It instantly brightens my under-eyes without looking ashy or gray, and it gives that soft-focus, blurred finish that makes my skin look filtered IRL. It’s super lightweight, sets my makeup beautifully, and doesn’t crease or emphasize texture. If you want that bright, smooth under-eye moment without heaviness, this is that powder.

A true cool toned powder

I’ve been really impressed by this powder. I don’t think I’ve ever liked a powder at this price point before. First of all, the packaging is THE BEST packaging I’ve ever had for a loose powder. Once you open the container, there’s a puff that sits in the lid covering the powder. Usually I don’t like puffs, but this powder works great with a puff, and the packaging makes it so convenient. Once you take out the puff, you open up the lid pressing down on the powder and use the puff to tap on the powder. This set up makes the powder easy and not messy to use (unlike every other loose powder I’ve had). It’s also small enough that you could travel with it. The actual powder goes on very sheer, does not add any texture at all, and adds a bit of blurring and softening. The finish is soft focus and natural, and looks very high end. Even though I have oily skin, I typically have issues with powders, and especially setting powders, feeling and looking dry/dehydrating on my skin. Not only does this one look good, but also feels good on my skin. The look of this strongly reminds me of the Huda loose powder BUT without the dry/dehydrated feeling I get from that powder. This may be due to the fact that this powder does not have talc in it (I don’t typically like the look/feel of talc powders). Although it isn’t too drying, I also don’t have any issues with my oils breaking down the powder later in the day (which is an issue I have with the Westman Atelier powder). I also appreciate that this powder is very cool toned and recommend this for anyone who is neutral to very cool toned. That being said, if you are warm toned, I don’t recommend this for you. I could see this going very pink or ashy on someone with a very warm undertone. In my before (looking aside) and after (looking at camera), you can see that the powder applies sheerly not covering up any of my deeper discoloration, but helps to color correct some redness and provides blurring and slightly mattifies my oily skin.

Love it!

After using this product for several days, I have to say I am really liking it! I wear my makeup for 10-12 hours a day and it needed to stand up to the test. First off, I really like the packaging. I am happy it came with a little finger puff for easy application. I also really like the flip top the puff rests in. It makes it way less messy when opening and the little mesh screen where the powder comes out is neat too. It is easy to dab and collect powder on the puff. I use this over my liquid foundation under my eyes, on my cheeks, and in my t zone. It definitely brightens and it’s amazing at how quickly a swipe can blur my pores. I had not noticed it settling in creases and the powder is super fine. All in all, I 100% recommend this setting powder!

It was okay

I tried Sephora’s Blur It Loose Setting Powder in the shade Brightening Lilac. This was my first time ever using a loose powder in a lavender tone. The pretty lilac color immediately stood out to me because it’s not something you see often in setting powders, and I was curious to see how it would look once applied to the skin. The powder comes in a compact with a small triangular powder puff included. While I understand that the puff needs to fit neatly inside the container, I personally found it to be a bit too small to use comfortably, especially for setting larger areas of the face. I couldn’t figure out how to get more powder to come out of the sifter without having to tap the jar fairly hard, which then caused too much product to fall out. I applied the powder all over my face, making sure to cover my T-zone because that is where I get the most oily. I think the Blur It Loose Setting Powder helped mattify my skin somewhat and gave a soft-blur effect that made my pores look slightly less noticeable. The finish looked smooth and lightweight rather than heavy or cakey, which I appreciated. I received this product as part of an educational promotion.

Lovely Lilac Shade!

The Sephora Collection Blur It Loose Setting Powder in the shade, 04 Brightening Lilac is a perfect addition to the Blur It Loose Setting Powder line! This shade is recommended for fair to light skin tones with neutral or warm undertones. I have a fair to light skin tone, with neutral to cool undertones, yet find this works perfectly for me! I would give the powder 5 stars, if it was more pigmented. It is a finely milled powder, and has a cute little powder puff inside, which is great for application. I also love that the powder puff fits perfectly inside the package, so it won't get lost. The lilac shade is beautiful, and works nicely when setting concealer under my eyes, or even setting with a purple blush. It is a beautiful powder, that I can't stop reaching for

Careful not to use too much!

I think I audibly squealed when I opened the packaging and saw a little poof in there. The packaging is genius because the powder doesn’t get everywhere and it holds the poof so it’s perfect for travel.

I’ve tried this blurring powder in another shade before and loved it—and this one is just as good. The packaging is cute and compact, and I actually love the little sponge it comes with. The formula is lightweight but gives the perfect soft-focus blur. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, and this kept the shine away without feeling heavy. It sets matte but still looks natural on the skin. It honestly reminds me of a high-end powder I already use, but at a much better price point. Definitely repurchasing it

I tested the Sephora Collection Blur It Loose Setting Powder in Lilac for about a week and really liked the finish. The powder is very finely milled, sets makeup well, and gives a soft-focus blurring effect-especially around the nose and under the eyes. The lilac tone subtly brightens and helps reduce dullness without leaving a noticeable cast. It controls shine but still looks natural and skin-like, not dry or heavy. Best for: setting concealer, smoothing texture in the T-zone, and creating a blurred look for everyday wear. Received as part of an educational promotion.

Get ready for compliments!

This has been the only powder I reach for every day and when I run out, I know I'll have another one in the wings because I now cannot be without. I wear lilac and although it looks intimidating in the jar, once it is on the skin it melts in seamlessly and gives a subtle brightening effect that makes my skin look more awake and balanced. You know those powders that claim to blur and it just...doesn't? Well this one not only blurs, it will cause non stop skin compliments from everyone around you. My 42 year old combination skin looks transformed and my makeup stays in place for hours without that tight or heavy feeling that some powders can give. This powder controls shine without making my face look flat or dull, and the brightening effect lasts throughout the day. There is no shimmer or pearl effect, so it looks smooth and natural in all lighting, including photos. It works well over different foundations and does not oxidize or change color on me. If you want a smooth, blurred finish with a touch of brightness and zero heaviness, this is absolutely worth adding to your routine! Product was received as part of an educational promotion.

This is lovely

This powder is lovely to say the least. This is a new product to me since I have been so used to using a banana colored powder or just a translucent powder. It blurs wonderfully, is light weight and doesn't feel cakey. I went in with a light hand and a fluffy brush to test it at first, then tried it with the little puff that it comes with and both ways works really well. I made sure to spray some setting spray over top to make sure everything melted together and was powdery. I was a little nervous trying this color since I am brown skin girl but it worked really well, it cancels out some of my dark under eye and brightens the area. I would recommend this and this is something that would make it to my kit, I think it would be beautiful on a lot of tones.
