Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

So far so good on combo sensitive acne-prone skin

I have been using this since November on and off, but my skin seems to really like it. I have extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin that is combination. I would say that it’s not super hydrating, but it’s enough to balance my skin. Don’t know if i’d say this is barrier repairing, but for me balancing. If you are more normal / dry or goal is to plump and hydrate get that bouncy skin, I do not think this will give you those results. It absorbs fast and well into my skin, but even for me in the winter doesn’t seem hydrating enough sometimes, which is why I say I used it on and off because i tried other brands a bit more rich and i broke out so bad…I always came back to this one because my face liked it and it really helped calm my skin!! So if I need a bit more hydration I just do a mask before or pair with a hydrating toner or serum and it’s fine. Also IMPORTANT Fair warning ingredients are NOT non-comedogenic (laureth 23 and laureth 4, and some extracts in here that are moderately comedogenic ingredients), So for some this could cause clogged pores or breakouts for some people… That is my reason for subtracting a star, would love if they could make this 100% non-comedogenic. I just make sure i use a gentle exfoliator 1-2x a week for this. Surprisingly for me it didn’t cause irritation as I have eczema too which was a big concern, but doesn’t trigger my eczema or dermatitis and glad there’s no fragrance in this. I do not think this causes me breakouts, my skin has been fairly clear since using this.

Leaves my smooth

I have been using this moisturiser for about 10 years. I find the gel moisturiser works for me because I have combination skin. I leaves my skin very smooth and I never feel as if my skin is greasy because it lighter than the other moisturisers I have used in the past. I wouldn't use anything else.

Highly recommend for oily, but parched skin!

I’ve been using this gel for the better part of the last 15 years! Whenever I “strayed” and tried something else, I always felt like my skin was dehydrated (though it is on the oily side!!). I love this Clinique product and have gotten many of my family and friends to use it over the years. Nowadays I use it after my vitamin c in the morning and my retinal at night to help keep moisture in. It’s perfect under sunscreen and makeup and never pills.
